“Lucerne, the nutrient”
When harvested and processed into “mulch” the Lucerne continues to improve
the environment through downloading nutrients to the soil and greatly
reducing the need to water. |
Benefits of mulching with Lucerne
include….
- Perfect worm food, no need to dig when
you have well fed worms.
- Conditions and improves soil structure.
It does this through adding organic matter to the soil as well as adding
significant amounts of calcium.
- Low salt level. Many manures and
composts contain excessive amounts of salt which is damaging to the
plants and soil.
- Stimulates root growth. Research has
shown that Lucerne contains root growth stimulating hormones.
- Perfect balance of trace elements for
healthy growth.
- Non acidifying. The perfect pH for
optimum plant growth.
